Banking Question

Does anyone use Wachovia? Is their free checking really free? Anyone have any IRAs with them?

I'm still trying to get away from Bank of America, yes. It may take years.

My step-dad uses them and doesn't like them, but I don't think there's a bank anywhere that no one has a problem with. They're probably better than BOA.

I use RBC Bank and have for, oh, 15 years or so? Though they were Centura when I started with them. In all that time I've never had a problem with them, though I've heard of folks who have.

Basically I'm just looking for a bank that has no minimum balance, no fees, no charges for checking, with no requirement for direct deposit, so that I can use it when needed for using my Ally checking account, which has no actual bank locations.

I also want to move all my IRAs to one spot, with minimal fees.
