Thirty Days of Meme: Day 27
Dec. 3rd, 2010 11:31 pmDay 27: This month, in great detail
Ok, so I need to preface this entry by saying I've had 3 margaritas. Caveat emptor!
Soooooooo. This morning I got up, stumbled downstairs. Worked. Worked some more. Finished my stupid project that I probably shouldn't have finished. Pre-emptively called in sick for Monday because I have nothing scheduled and I will either get some medicine from the doctor or do this other thing that probably isn't going to happen but would make me stupidly happy if it did. (hi, still a tease.)
Then I got ready and went to tennis drills. One of the girls on my team is leaving for at least six months to travel in Asia, so we all went to drills and then to Taqueria del Sol for lots and lots of margaritas. Was good times! Now I am tipsy and heading to bed shortly.
Day 28: This year, in great detail
Day 29: Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days
Day 30: Whatever tickles your fancy

Aug. 13th, 2009 03:08 amIf you need a good laugh, I highly recommend checking out my twitter activity from this evening. I might have had a little to drink at the Counting Crows concert :)
Also, for those that are interested, Brendon Urie may have some competition for the title of 'Failiest, most Earnest Frontman" in the form of the lead singer from Augustana, whose name I am too tired to look up and who apparently was in 4th grade when Counting Crows released August & Everything After. You know, in 1997, the year I graduated from COLLEGE.

Aug. 8th, 2009 04:02 amYes it's four in the morning. Yes, I may have told a friend I'd be up at 9 am tomorrow to go to yoga. Yes, I may be a little bit drunk. But I digress...
Point the first: Last weekend was my all concert, all the time weekend. I went to see the American Idols concert on Friday. My indie soul died a little, but fuck that, it was a ton of fun. Or I was really intoxicated. Possibly both. The majority of the show was like a really good night out at a karaoke bar, and then Adam Lambert came on and it was a real rock show. Also, credit where it's due, the winner, Kris Allen, put on a hell of a show. Then on Saturday, you guys, on Saturday, I saw GREEN DAY. OMG, my soul was restored :D They were completely, completely awesome. I think that may have been the best concert I've ever been to. And they did everything, all the new stuff, all the American Idiot stuff, King for a Day, Minority, Good Riddance. The only thing they could have done to make it more awesome would have been if Tre got up and sang Dominated Love Slave, and I'm willing to bet that that will never happen. They did three encores, and they let some random kid from the audience play guitar for Jesus of Suburbia. Let me repeat that. Some random kid who was about 18 got to play Billie Joe Armstrong's guitar on stage with Green Day.
Point the second: My aunt is doing well. They ended up not doing surgery or traction, she's just doing rehab and apparently it's going really well. She's out of the hospital and in a nursing home? or some sort of care facility. I'm not sure. But thanks everyone for your good thoughts.
Point the third: Cinnamon is over her pink eye. That sucked.
Point the fourth: You know how you know you like a boy? You start questioning the content of your underwear drawer. Anybody got a favorite source of pretty underthings for the more well-endowed girl? I hate, hate, hate Victoria and all her secrets. Her secret is she's a skinny, flat-chested bitch and that just doesn't work out for me.
Ugh, ok. Bed. I'm so going to be napping during corpse pose tomorrow.

Hi.
How are y'all doing tonight? I'm tired and a little tipsy and a little sad. Bad combo, and I should probably just go to bed, but I'm still winding down from work. I'm working West Coast hours, and that always throws me off a bit. Especially because it almost always turns out that I end up working from 10 am to 9pm, instead of 1pm to 9pm like I'm supposed to. So that never puts you in a good frame of mind anyway.
I'm cleaning my house up a bit, which is good. I was starting to feel kind of pig-sty-ish. It wasn't that bad, just a lot of clutter, which I'm picking up. I need to really clean though. That's not happening tonight though.
I tried calling my sister, but she's not answering. She's probably just at the movies or with her boyfriend. Or asleep. I haven't talked to her since Saturday, I think. She had a car accident on Friday - she's fine, somebody pulled out in front of her and did some damage to her brand new car, but she was just shook up and sore. She has bad car luck - she's been in five accidents that I can think of off the top of my head, and one when I was in high school that was serious. You want to be convinced to always wear your seatbelt? Go take a look at a scrunched-up car that has the indent of your sister's head in the front windshield. That'll do it.
On Sunday, I went to Home Depot and bought the shed that I've been talking about for ages. It comes on Thursday, and my dad's going to help me assemble it next week. They get here Sunday or Monday, and my sister comes on Wednesday night. I still need to find a restaurant for Thanksgiving lunch, but I have our tickets to the art museum on Friday sorted out, so that should be fun.
And that's about it for goings on around here.
For those of you that like these sorts of things, there is a fantastic Panic at the Disco Pride & Prejudice AU here, and a fic that I swear will make you like Ashlee Simpson-Wentz here.

Aug. 30th, 2008 02:08 amAwesome, awesome first day!
We started off the day with a Torchwood panel with Gareth David-Lloyd (IANTO!!) and Anthony Lewis (Tommy). Things we learned: Gareth had an ass-twinge, but this is not because he's Barrowman's bitch. Anthony is Neville Longbottom's older brother. He is also good at slotting right in, which made him a welcome addition to the Torchwood cast.
Next, we tried to go see Nathan Fillion. The line was out the Hyatt and around the block! Dude is funny but he ain't that funny. We'll try again on Sunday.
Since we couldn't do that, we left
zillah975 to the SGA panels and I drug Hillary to the dealer room to help me lose my comic book virginity. That's right, I now own 5 of the 6 issues of Umbrella Academy, because there is a panel on that tomorrow and I couldn't not check it out, but I didn't want to be a complete idiot about what was going on. Unfortunately, they didn't have issue 4. :( But so far I like it, although I keep confusing the different children, and then matching their numbers to their names.
After that, I needed a break, what with the 3 hours of sleep and all.
After dinner, we went to an indie shorts film festival, which was sort of unexpectedly awesome. If you every have a chance to see "Prombies" - Zombies at the Prom! With fake erections! - or "Suityman" - hard to describe, yet still awesome.
And now we've had too much vodka, and I can't fucking type, and we have to be up and at the parade by ten am, so bedbedbed.

Hi!!! Happy Holidays!!
Dec. 8th, 2007 12:31 amI am slightly drunk and therefore not responsible for this post. It's the new drunk dial.
I'm back from Canada today, from Niagara Falls. It's how Canada does sleazy.
In the last two days, I've had two sex dreams. One of which featured an ex-boyfriend, and the other featured Mikey Way of My Chemical Romance.
/random. Merry Christmas!!!
ETA: You must understand that my newfound infatuation with My Chemical Romance makes me feel about fourteen and fake goth-emo. AND Mikey's not the one I think is cute. I'm a Frank Iero girl all the way. Not that Mikey's not nice, but he weighs like 2 pounds and I would squish himnot to mention his WIFE would cut me.
