First USTA game

This afternoon I played in my very first USTA tennis match. I'm on a team with 17 other women (which sounds like a lot, but is actually awesome, because that way we don't have to commit to playing every weekend, plus it's so much cheaper!), and I played a doubles match today. My partner was Tania, and we lost in two sets: 0-6, 0-6. This sounds bad, but we are beginners, and we actually played pretty well. We almost won the last three games of the last set, going to deuce multiple times in each game. Plus it was a lot of fun, and that's all that really matters! :D

I make 18, but it wouldn't matter - it's one of those, everyone gets a chance to play type deals. We have a match each Saturday, and there's two singles games and three doubles, so eight people get to play each week.
