My reactions to Supernatural Episode 9:

OMGSTOPWITHTHETEETHSOGROSS!
Every Rose Has Its Thorn? Love the song, but somebody snuck a post-1980 song past Kripke!
Maggots, ew.
Book of Shadows? Seriously? Did I switch the channel to Charmed by accident?
Also, could Dean not call every woman he meets this season 'bitch?' Good on Ruby for telling him off, after dousing him with. Um. Chocolate milk?
And once again, someone calls Dean stupid. Argh!

Okay, I have to say, not my favorite episode, but I really like the direction they're taking Ruby. Her backstory makes sense, she's not a love interest, and they've toned down the Buffy-badassedness just a bit.

*nodnod* I was squeeing to Rachel on IM (because she was completely awesome, and came online 2 hours after SPN screened on the East Coast, just so I could squee to someone in real-time for once *g*) that it was so kick-ass how Ruby's been developing. She's more than just a sex object, and she's becoming a character with actual depth, as opposed to a purely superficial plot device. Awesomeness.

psst I thought the worms were even worse than the teeth OMG WORMS but the teeth bit was really traumatic too

I have reoccuring stress dreams where I dream that my teeth are loose and about to fall out, and I just so did not need to see that!

Sorry I missed out on the squeeing! My friends wanted to go out that night, and I figured it would be lame of me not to go in order to watch a tv show. *pouts on missed squeeing opportunities*

And yeah, I've read that 'teeth falling out' is a pretty common nightmare, right up there with fallingfallingfalling and being chased but not being able to run. I guess it all leads back to a soul-deep terror of helplessness.

Mine always seems to be fear of public humiliation, like "Oh my god, I cannot let anyone know my teeth are falling out, on pain of DEATH."

And I have to admit, I nearly cancelled at the last minute, because my friend that organized it emailed me saying she couldn't remember whether I'd said I could come or not. But I hadn't left the house all week, so I figured I'd better go!
