Okay, I am officially old. :)

Gina and I went out dancing on Friday, to the Decatur Social Club. I know that sounds very Junior Leauge-ish, but it's actually an after-hours club. We got there at about midnight, a little early but not too bad. The music didn't get good until 1 am and then we danced til 4. It was a ton of fun, and we actually talked to people. Mostly guys who were hitting on Gina, but still, we went out and socialized so go us! :D I also kept getting compliments on my dancing skills from these two black twin sisters. I'm still not sure if they were hitting on me or just being friendly... hard to tell in Decatur with the Agnes Scott crowd (an all girls college with a reputation for being lesbian-laden). After dancing, we went out for breakfast. I think I crawled into bed about 6 am.

So that's not the old part. The old part comes Saturday afternoon when we got up. OMG hurt! Every muscle in my body hurts, especially my abs - I must have done an hour's worth of crunches. So instead of painting and going through one of my closets like I had planned, I did absolutely nothing but sit on my couch and watch tv. I'm still sore today, though not quite as bad. I have upgraded from moving like an 80 year old to moving like a really spry 70 year old. Also we got asked at least twice "where do you go?" which required us to explain that we were both done with "going." Gina keeps telling me to take it as a compliment that someone thinks we're college-age.

On the homefront, I am going from not travelling at all to travelling non-stop. I think I'll be home for about 72 hours between now and the middle of June. Okay, that's an exaggeration but not by much. I am going to New York this week, then to Kiev (v exciting!), Vegas, Argentina, and then to the UK for my brother's wedding. Very hectic schedule, but at least I'll be earning Sky Miles... I'm going to have to hustle to keep my Gold Medallion status this year. Especially since my surgery will knock me off the road for six weeks. I think I've determined that'll be the first week in August, just have to schedule it.

Awwww!! Man, I know the feeling. But it doesn't mean you're old - just means you should go dancing more! :D (Though maybe not 'til 4AM, at least not too awfully often.)

LOL, yeah! After we were finished, my friend Gina was like "We should do this every week!" Then by the time we got home, she was down to every two weeks. I think by Saturday afternoon, we were both like "Maybe once a month."

I am usually asleep by 12 o'clock, definitely NOT on the verge of going out. THAT's old.

It was a stretch for me at well... not that I'm asleep by midnight usually, but just that I'm not used to getting all gussied up at that hour.

Well, I guess I'd give it a whirl! I don't really know how to do it. But my next given Monday night's probably going to be late June at the earliest - my work is sending me all over right now.

I went out dancing for about 2 hours a couple of weeks ago and could barely move for 4 days after...so I think you did good!
