Yoga breakthrough

Tonight, for the first time ever, I was able to touch my face to my feet while doing bodhakonasana (probably spelled wrong, but that's what it sounds like - basically touch the soles of your feet together, knees to the floor and bend forward). I've been able to get close for ages, but couldn't go the last bit without it feeling like my hips might pop off.

So anyway, go me!

Go vixie!! Dom would be thrilled to hear that I'm sure! I still can't quite get my forehead below my knees, but I'm hanging in there. I was happy to be able to maintain chadaranga (sp?) a/k/a plank pose without falling over as I used to do.

I am never sure if I'm doing chadaranga right! Dancing warrior is the one that makes me fall over!

The hardest one for me though is uptavishnakadasana (or something like that) which I swear is Hindu for 'fuck, this hurts' - it's the one where you spread your legs and try to lean forward and touch your face to the floor. I can go about 6 inches forward, which is frustrating because I can do all the bending stuff, just not from that angle.
