Back from the dead

vixaliciousOk, fucking panic over.
My laptop died last night. Just shut off in the middle of everything and would not turn back on.
It would just make an occasional whirring sound, flash its lights, and die.
I went to bed, hoping it would all be better in the morning, trying not to panic that I would lose everything I've done since January.
No dice.
So I called the support desk, and they walked me through a few things. Apparently the battery blew, and the circuits needed to be cleared, and now I have no battery, but my computer is ON and that's all that matters.
Crisis averted!
