Hmm... this is harder than it should be, but Hollywood keeps taking the books I love and turning them into crap chick flicks. For example, My Sister's Keeper is a really interesting look at the ethics of genetic engineering. The Lovely Bones is a super moving book. Also, I haven't read a lot of fiction this year. I finally got around to reading World War Z, so if you like zombies, that's fun. Just don't expect to sleep well afterward.
