Yeah, I've been dying to say that for days. :)
I've managed to squeeze quite a bit of sight-seeing around working, so I've now seen the Golden Gate (which is neither golden nor a gate), shopped at the market twice, ridden the Funicular, visited St. Andrews Church, and walked through the park a bit. It's really hot, and the a/c in the hotel is questionable at times, but otherwise it's been nice. Today my plan is to attempt to get to the post office to mail postcards. I am expecting it to be an ordeal, which may end in an international incident.
I am having a hard time with the time change though... it took days to be able to stay up past 9 pm, and now I am developing a distressing habit of waking up at 4 am. I am also down to one diet coke per 24 hour period, totally not by choice. *craves* But we have hot water now, which we didn't on Monday, and the electricity mostly stays on, so all is well at this pre-opening hotel.
In other good news, I have gained a day on my weekend! My site for next week finally realized they'd agreed to start their install on Memorial Day, and since sales does not work on holidays, pushed off for a day. So instead of flying home on Saturday and then back out on Sunday, I won't have to fly til Monday. Yay!
