A weird first

So I had my first ever solo bottle of wine last night.

Yes, I'm nearly 30 and I've never had a bottle of wine by myself before. I said it was weird. I'm so proud of myself for being able to get the cork out without mangling it.

That said. I have a hangover today! Gah! But I'm so much less stressed!

At least you just had a hangover. The one & only time I drank a bottle of wine I got violently ill.

I do get a thrill though, when I can get out the cork without making little cork crumbs in the wine!

Yay you! I had my first and only solo bottle of /scotch/ when I was 28. Spent the next day thinking I was dying.

Holy crap, hon! (or as I first typed it, holy carp! Gotta watch those fish, they're slippery little suckers) I think I actually would die if I had a whole bottle of scotch.

First there is nothing with drinking alone, and secondly there certainly is nothing wrong with downing a bottle of wine during that time. In Maryland I did that a few times.

I tend not to get as hungover on white wine as I would with red for some reason.

I was less worried about drinking alone than that I wouldn't be able to open the damn bottle :) But yeah, really hungover. Probably something to do with staying up til 3 am because I was tipsy and my good sense went out the window.

I was probably at LEAST 30 before I even drank any wine that came out of a corked bottle (as opposed to the low-brow screw-cap variety).
